World's first LNG-fuelled chemical tanker newbuilding
The world's first new LNG-fuelled chemical tanker has been delivered by Rotterdam's Shipyard Trico to Lloyd´s Register class. Chemical tanker MT Argonon to emit less SOx, NOx and particulates across Europe's inland waterways.
The tanker has a dual-fuel system designed to burn an 80/20 mixture of natural gas and diesel, reducing the greenhouse gas emissions from tank to flue. The MT Argonon is 110 metres in length and propelled by two, dual-fuel Caterpillar DF3512 engines, each providing 1,115 kW.
